's-Hertogenbosch(NL)- Rovaniemi (FL)

An artists’ exchange programme between Finnish Lapland and Dutch North Brabant, in which six artists mutually exchanged their studios, their homes and their professional networks for a period of one to two months, between March and October 2014.

The main purpose of both the exchange programme and the accompanying educational project is to experience and show differences and similarities between thinly populated Lapland and the densely populated Netherlands. The concluding exhibition ‘Angle of Incidence – The Influence of a Surrounding Area (17 December 2014 to 18 January 2015 in the Willem II Factory in ’s-Hertogenbosch) not only showed the work of the six artists who exchanged work places physically, but also the work of ten talented (young) artists from Finnish Lapland and Dutch North Brabant, whose work fitted in with the subject matter. The emphasis is on (the experience of) nature and landscape. In July and August, the exhibition will be shown in Rovaniemi.
